How the number is calculated.why?

Figures are modeled estimates accrued from the date each lever was marked done — not a measurement of your actual utility bill. Everything is stored only in this browser (localStorage); clearing site data resets the tracker. No fake progress: the tracker is empty until you act and only reflects levers currently marked done.
